Alpay Anıl İdemen was born in Istanbul in 1984. He has been professionally active at sea since 2002 as a licensed captain, commercial diver and diving instructor.
His professional maritime career deepened in 2002 while working aboard diving-based blue cruise gulets operating between Marmaris and Bozburun. His years on the vessel Barışım allowed him to gain extensive familiarity with both the region and the traditional blue cruise culture of the Turkish coast.
During this period, the sea became not only a workplace, but a defining part of his way of life.
Following his early years in coastal cruising, he spent approximately five years working on international commercial diving projects.

After returning to Türkiye, he took over the same dive boat where his career began and operated a dive school in the Bozburun Peninsula region for eight years.

In 2022, he founded Conformista Sailing, bringing together decades of experience at sea under a single philosophy.
In addition to operating sailing voyages, he continues to provide consultancy for marine projects and yacht transfers in the region.
He speaks English at a level sufficient for professional maritime communication with international guests.
In addition to these primary qualifications, he holds multiple additional certifications and maritime authorizations related to his profession.
